Graytail is a dark gray tom.[1]
In StormClan's Folly, Graytail is a ShadowClan warrior, and his apprentice is Thornpaw. His apprentice later becomes a warrior named Thornwhisker. When the remnants of StormClan return to the forest, Graytail's patrol confronts them near the Thunderpath. Stripestar recognizes Graytail but not the younger warriors. Graytail recognizes Stripestar and is shocked to see him. When asked to speak with Snakestar, Graytail explains how Snakestar and Birchstar are currently at Fourtrees to discuss the fate of the former WindClan cats who had arrived earlier.
