Graystripe's Vow

Gremlin mentions Brick to Graystripe when she is telling him about Fury's Clan meeting, mentioning that the ginger tom has a weak spot on his back due to an old injury.
Later on, Brick participates in the battle against ThunderClan. Graystripe remembers what Gremlin told him and digs his claw into the old wound on Brick's back. He screams in pain and throws Graystripe off of him. Brick and Snipe begin attacking Graystripe together while mocking him, saying there is not a single warrior to help him. However, Brambleclaw joins Graystripe in the fight and they manage to fight the two BloodClan cats off.

The Rise of Scourge

Brick: "Is it true that you fight dogs?"
Tiny: "Um...yes...?"
Brick: "Good. Please follow us."
—Brick and Bone questioning Scourge The Rise of Scourge, page 47
Brick and Bone find Tiny sleeping in a tire. Bone wakes Tiny up and introduces himself and Brick. Once Tiny comes out of the tire, Brick asks if it's true that he fought the dogs. When Tiny lies and confirms this, Brick asks Tiny to come with them. Once they arrive at the place, Brick explains that a dog has made its den in the alley and Bone adds that it is too big and strong for cats to chase it away. They then face Tiny, and ask if he will fight the dog for them. When Tiny does not respond, Bone doubts Tiny's claim that he could fight dogs, but Brick tells Tiny that even if he was lying, he still has until moonhigh to decide whether he is going to fight and, if he is not, it would be best for him to leave.
After Tiny proves himself and renames himself Scourge, Brick and Bone take the position as bodyguards and soon they tell Scourge that word is getting around that he is the new cat in charge. When a group of rogues are disturbing the peace, he and Bone report it to Scourge and lead him to where the rogues are residing. Bone and Brick watch Scourge as he encounters several members of the rogue group and then witness him kill a rogue cat. When Ruby and Socks come to Scourge and are ushered out, Brick and Bone make sure they get out of BloodClan territory.
