Ivypaw: "You haven't spoken to him. I have! He told me everything. How he only became ShadowClan's leader after Bluestar forced him out of ThunderClan. How he's always stayed loyal to his birth Clan. Despite everything they've done to him!"

Dovepaw: "Everything they've done to him?"

Ivypaw: "Who won the battle yesterday?"

Dovepaw: "What's the battle got to do with it?"

Ivypaw: "It was Tigerstar's idea! He's the one who told me to persuade Firestar to fight ShadowClan. He warned me that ShadowClan was planning tosteal our territory. And because of Tigerstar, we stole their territory instead. What's that, if it's not loyalty?"

Dovepaw: "But Tigerstar is part of the Dark Forest! You can't trust him! Don't you see that the battle caused nothing but trouble? Winning a worthless piece of land cost Firestar a life and killed Russetfur!"

Dovepaw: "Shut up! If you tell anyone that I'm seeing Tigerheart, then I'll tell the whole Clan you've been training in the Dark Forest with Tigerstar, and then you'll have no friends. Everyone will hate you as much as I do!"

Ivypaw: "But that's how it felt! You can't blame me for listening to Hawkfrost, for wanting to learn all the moves that he taught me."

Dovepaw: "No cat is blaming you."

Ivypaw: "Are you sure? Lionblaze and Jayfeather don't trust me. Maybe they want me to go back to the Dark Forest and stay there!"

Dovepaw: "Don't be ridiculous! Can't you see that we need you? Without knowing exactly what's going on in the Dark Forest, the prophecy is useless. You got your wish: You're the special one now."

Ivypaw: "I wish I weren't. I'm scared."

Ivypool: "Tigerheart and Dovewing were quick to volunteer to join the search. I didn't think it was a good idea for them to travel together."

Twigpaw: "So you didn't want to stop me from finding my father?"

Ivypool: "Of course not. And I'm sorry you thought I did, and that my actions put you in danger."

Twigpaw: "And you're not mad that I snuck off by myself?"

Ivypool: "I would have done that same. I'm glad you came back safely. ThunderClan is lucky to have you."
